After training as an architect and then as an interior architect, Benoît Deneufbourg (°1977) worked for two years with designer Xavier Lust before opening his own b.dnb design studio in 2004. He creates furniture and objects intended for large-scale production, as well as interior designs and installations. In his projects, he reinterprets classic functions by operating a simultaneous simplification of the aesthetic and the production technique. Showing an exceptional economy of means, his creations are marked by a formal unity and a sharp line. His clients include Interni Edition (BE), Macrolux (IT) and Vange (BE). Beside his cooperation with international companies, b.dnb design studio launched its own objects such as the 120° CoatHook and the Cross Out mirror.

In 2001 Corentin Dombrecht (°1975) graduated as industrial Designer at La Cambre (BE) with a golden DJ installation. It was a plea for new ergonomic practices and a statement around bad taste, an idea he likes to play with. He discovered the power of experiment in design: exploring its commercial aspects, sensing the borders of contemporary art and introducing show elements. Inspired by average people, as well as by luxury, nature and urban life, Corentin’s universe is very eclectic and more conceptual inspired than easy identifiable.

Madonna‘s exclusive OUT magazine cover



Madonna‘s exclusive OUT magazine cover has finally been released!
The unpublished photos of the Queen of Pop (on the cover and inside the magazine) were shot by Richard Corman in NYC back in 1982.
Corman says:
“She was like the Pied Piper of the neighborhood – [the kids] loved her. They followed her, they danced with her, they sang with her. It was something they did on a daily basis, and it was remarkable. We just walked up and they gathered around. She put the boom box on — it was her music, though I don’t remember which song – and they just started dancing and singing. She was so alive and unpretentious. She was fierce, determined. Nothing was going to stop her.”

Pepe Jeans is offering fans a chance to win some of their favourite songs with its “Style Jukebox” The British company Pepe Jeans has always had a strong passion for music, creating an online radio to sit alongside its website as well as featuring music from up and coming bands in their campaign videos.
Named “Style Jukebox” the action will take place within a Facebook app. with aims to increase and strengthen links with fans within their Social Networks.

The “Style Jukebox” contains over 80 different songs from different artists and genres such as Lily Allen, The Smiths, Crystal Castles, Kasabian and many more.
Centered around Facebook, fans will have to lookout for status updates that will mean the first 50 users to register their details and select one of the new looks from Pepe Jeans’ Spring/Summer 2011 lookbook along with the song of their choice will receive an e-mail with an i-tunes gift certificate for their chosen songs.
The Facebook app. will be launched on March 14th and run until 18th April with dates and times for status updates (allowing the first 50 users to win their chosen song) being chosen at random.
The “Style Jukebox” is one of the many actions that the brand is developing through their social networks and online at the control of the agency Buzz Marketing Networks, with whom Pepe Jeans are collaborating with on their 2.0 strategy.

Performing is a means of modifying reality, of taking on a role and of wearing a mask. It is another facet of oneself. It takes one back to childhood. Play is an encounter between two dancers which evokes true and fictional stories of love and separation, seduction and failure. In this new creation, choreographer and dancer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and dancer Shantala Shivalingappa – specialist of kuchipudi, the traditional dance form of southeast India, and brilliant performer in several of Pina Bausch’s productions – present the comedy of desire and death, and through their songs make their invisible worlds dance. They will be accompanied by Patrizia Bovi and Gabriele Miracle, specialists of ancient music who collaborated with Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui in MythPlay was created through the impetus given by Pina Bausch – whose idea it was to bring the two dancers together – and is dedicated to her.
