International letter to Asma al-Assad. Sign the according petition here.
Women from around the world, urge you, Asma Al-Assad, to take up your responsibility as wife of the Syrian leader.
Some women care for style
And some women care for their people.
Some women struggle for their image
And some women struggle for survival.
Some women have forgotten what they preached about peace
- Asma, at lectern: “We all deserve the same thing: We should all be able to live in peace, stability and with our dignities.”-
And some women can only pray for their dead.
Some women pretend that they have no choice
And some women just act.
What happened to you, Asma?
Hundreds of Syrian children have already been killed and injured
One day, our children will ask us
What we have done to stop this bloodshed
What will your answer be, Asma?”
That you, Asma, had no choice?
What about this boy, where was his choice?
Each single child had a name and a family.
Their lives will never the same again.
Asma, when you kiss your own children goodnight,
Another mother will find the place next to her empty.
These children could all be your children.
They are your children.
Stand up for peace, Asma.
Speak out now, for the sake of your people.
Stop your husband and his supporters.
Stop being a bystander.
No one cares about your image.
We care about your action.
Poppositions is a new off-fair taking place during Art Brussels, showcasing emerging artists and galleries working with site-specific exhibitions. A selection of artworks will be presented in deliberate interaction with a unique architectural setting, the railway station of Bruxelles Congrès.
Fairs are currently among the primary opportunities of exchange and interaction in contemporary art, playing a fundamental role in the process of establishing and administering the value and direction of art. Poppositions will occupy Bruxelles Congrès with the aim of establishing a critical and edgy alternative to the prevailing format while nurturing high artistic standard and international appeal.

This season, KRISVANASSCHE introduces a collaboration with Lee® that celebrates the heritage and expertise of this authentic denim brand mixed with the sophisticated world of Kris Van Assche where modern masculinity is of the essence.
By using workwear cotton twill, Kris Van Assche reinterprets iconic Lee archive pieces like the denim jacket, the blouson, the jeans shirt, the five pocket trousers and the chino trousers, to echo the Autumn Winter collection. Five styles proposed in 2 colourways; workwear blue and dark brown, constructing two silhouettes.
The logo embossed piece of leather, the labeled gun metallic details combined with the tone on tone stitched fabrics reflect the designer’s refined world of nonchalant elegance.
The denim collection will be available through a selection of KRISVANASSCHE retailers as well as being sold in selected Lee® stores from July 2012. Prices range from 195 to 415 Euros.

SOS Children’s Villages
is calling on unborn babies in Belgium, to do something about the
thousands of unborn babies in Africa that do not survive their own
birth. Pregnant mothers have been recruited to use the in utero
movements of their unborn children to paint pictures, which are then
sold to raise funds. You can bid on the works on www.unbornartists.com. The exhibition will soon be displayed in the gallery of Isabelle de Borchgrave.
SOS children’s villages

What do you get when you cross Caribbean attitude with Magnum P.I.?
Caribbean P.I.! So ditch that lame Hawaiian shirt, slap on your aviators
and grow in your ‘stache because the 55DSL S/S12 male’s collection is
about to take you a stylish beach adventure. It’s irie, mon.
Colour is the main story this season. Colorful or just one colour,
rather, as we focus on sun-bleached hues light as the sea breeze, with
washed out graphics and faded prints. The look is relaxed, easy and just
a little bit ironic — stripes, Caribbean-inspired prints, large checks
