For the second time Eastpak gets together with design studio Quinze & Milan. At the upcoming Salone del Mobile the two will showcase the new range of furniture and bags that they created in collaboration with one another.
The Quinze & Milan Club Sofa 01 and Primary Pouf 02 get the Eastpak remix and are enhanced with a series of pockets, allowing you to store anything from a book and DVDs to your iPad right in your couch. The primary material of use in this second collaboration is washed denim, next to some other material options. Matching bags have been created by Eastpak for this collaborative project.

Karl Lagerfeld has collaborated with Coca-Cola Light again to design three limited edition retro-style bottles, which will go on sale in June. Lagerfeld took inspiration from the puppets Bernadette, Leonor and Irene, who represent the 'Love it Light' theme. He's dedicated a bottle to each one: polka-dots for romantic Bernadette, stripes for fashionista Leonor and stars for rocker Irene.

Party Time at the Centre for Fine Arts presents a cross-section of all that BOZAR has to offer. Whether you are a theatre-lover or someone who prefers live music or visiting exhibitions, BOZAR has it all. The exhibitions are open all day, CINEMATEK is showing both wacky and deadly serious Westerns, and there will be music on every side. This particular Party Time has a Hungarian flavour, with the Romanticism of Liszt, eight contemporary Hungarian artists, and the circus theatre of the Bladder Circus Company.

Great news for all fashionista’s has reached my ears this weekend! Marc by Marc Jacobs is opening a store in August in the Dansaertstraat, on the corner of the Nieuwe Graanmarkt where there used to be a big design store. The store will host 250square meters of Marc by Marc Jacobs goodies for women, men and children. The brand is a cheaper and younger version of Marc Jacobs and offers clothing, handbags, accessories, gadgets etc..
Above all, the store will also be the home of Europe’s first Marc Bookstore! The other Marc Bookstore is in NYC and a third one will be opening in Tokyo. What an honor!
The Independent delivers a fairly personal article with designer, Rick Owens. While it goes further into his personal life further in, I’m more taken with the discussion of his life-size wax sculptures. “Rick Owens is face to face with a life-size wax sculpture of himself, staring out of shredded wadding and packed in a wooden crate in a corner of his London store. It’s an oddly unnerving sight, as the cult Californian designer is first to admit: brown-eyed and eerily close in appearance to the man himself, the look of it is made no less disturbing by the fact that it is severed from the waist down – it has no legs… Owens objects for less obvious reasons: ‘It’s not nearly disgusting enough..’
